Four preset modes cover the common routines, and three auto target modes concentrate on the toes, the arch or the sole in turn, which is useful when one part of the foot is doing all the complaining.

A manual mode gives direct control of speed and direction when none of the presets is quite right. A fifteen minute automatic shutoff ends the session on its own.

3. Start with a preset at low speed.
4. Wear socks the first few times if the nodes feel firm underfoot.
